Hanumangarh Epic
It has been mentioned in the history of Himachal Pradesh that the Hanumangarh Fort was a part of the Bhangal dynasty. The main regions of the Bhangal dynasty were Bada Bhangal, Chota Bhangal, and the entire Bir Billing area.
Prithvi Singh was the last ruler of the Bhangal dynasty and was the son-in-law of the king of Mandi. One day while playing a game, Prithvi Singh and his wife fought for some reason.
To take revenge, the king of Mandi lured Prithvi Singh to his kingdom and killed him treacherously. On his way to Mandi, Lord Hanumanji gave many signs to Prithvi Singh not to go.
Prithvi Singh had built a temple at his fort as a great devotee of lord Hanumanji. After the name of Lord Hanumanji, this fort was known as Hanumangarh.
