The Mata Maheshwari Temple Bir Trek is one of the peaceful and less crowded treks near Bir Billing. Also known as the Garh Mata Temple is located at a small hilltop surrounded by green trees, mountain views, and fresh air. Many local people visit the temple for worship and peace.

The trek starts from Ahju village and slowly goes uphill through forest paths. Ahju village is 02 km from Bir Tibetan Colony, which you can cover either by walk or by vehicle. During the uphill walk, you can enjoy birds chirping, cool wind, and amazing valley views.

The Bangoru waterfall also known as the hidden waterfall Bir is a beautiful hidden gem of Bir Billing area. It is 07 km from the Bir Tibetian Colony and has two different trek options.

The first trek starts at Bir Tibetian Colony which is 07 km via the village Kotli, Gunehar village, Bangoru village, and finally Bangoru waterfall.

To start the second trek, first you must complete a 06 km distance by vehicle from Bir Tibetian Colony to Bangoru village. The trek of 01 km starts from Bangoru village and takes 30 minutes to reach Bangoru waterfall.

The Billing take-off site is 1500 meters from sea level on the top of Dhauladhar range. It is the world’s second-highest paragliding site after Mount Everest paragliding site.

The Billing trek from Bir Tibetian Colony is about 07 km one-way. This unpaved trek is through a beautiful and serene forest. The Billing trek is a day trek and takes 03 to 04 hours one-way.

On the way to Billing, you will find some water springs and a temple of Goddes.

Hanumangarh trek in Bir Billing

The Hanumangarh was a fort of the Bhangal dynasty whose capital was Bir. It is named after Lord Hanuman as King Prithvi Singh was a great devotee of Lord Hanuman.

Hanumangarh is located in such a place on the Dhauladhar range where you can have a 360-degree view and have a glimpse of Thamsar Pass, Chenna Pass, Chota Bhangal, Bir Billing area, Beas river, Mandi, and Jalsu Pass.

There are two different treks to Hanumangarh, one is via Bari Village and the second one is via Chenna Pass.

The one-way 09 km trek via Bari village is unpaved, sloppy, and not recommended for beginners.

The trek via Chenna Pass is best for beginners. This trek starts from Chenna Pass which is 28km from Bir Tibetian Colony. The 03 km one-way trek from Chenna Pass to Hanumangarh takes only 02 to 03 hours.

Marhola Village Trek in Bir Billing

Rajgundha trek

Marhola is a beautiful village situated at the adjacent peak of the Billing take-off site. Marhola village was once inhabited by local people is 1200 meters from sea level.

The trek for Marhola village starts from Lahar village which is 03 km from Bir Tibetian colony.

This trek is about 05 km and takes 03 to 04 hours one-way. The Marhola village trek passes through the beautiful grass fields, and dense forest, and along the Bangoru waterfall.
